Poor Sharper Image. It can’t get a mention anywhere without hearing about their bankruptcy. Anyway, when the company promised late last year to bounce back with a new line of products that “transcend the ordinary,” our own Emily Price predicted thusly: “Looking at what they’re showing on their website we’re betting that those products are all iPod docks, which we hate to break it to Sharper Image, are pretty darn ordinary.” And so here we have the gadget maker’s brand new iPod dock, whose two speaker domes can be placed up to 150 feet from the base. It otherwise sports your basic features but looks pretty futuristic. Asking price is $130, and maybe an end to all the bankruptcy jokes. [via Wired]

After filing for bankruptcy and shutting down stores earlier this year, The Sharper Image has just launched an online store and promises to “transcend the ordinary” with 20 new products to be launched at CES in January. Looking at what they’re showing on their website we’re betting that those products are all iPod docks, which we hate to break it to Sharper Image, are pretty darn ordinary. Still it’s nice to see the company making a comeback of sorts, even if it is filled with iPod dock lameness. [via Boing Boing]
