NEC has released two all-in-one desktops each with the Valuestar designation simply named the “W” and the “N.” The W has a 22-inch WSXGA+ (1680×1050) monitor and is available with either a Core 2 Quad Q8200s or a Core 2 Duo E7400, 4GB of RAM, 1TB of HDD, Blu-ray drive, digital TV tuner, and AVCREC integrated hardware encoding. The N is available in either 16 or 19-inch sizes (1440×900) and has a Core 2 Duo E7400 or Ahtlon X2 QL-62, 4GB or RAM, 500GB of HDD, GeFroce 9300, and DVD drive. [via AkibaharaNews]

NEC has announced three new laptops for Japan. The leader of the pack is the 16-inch LaVie C, a notebook powered by 4GB of RAM and a Core 2 Duo P8600 processor at 2.4GHz. The LaVie C also includes a GeForce 9600M GS, 320GB of HDD, a Blu-Ray disc drive or DVD drive, HDMI out, Wifi ABGN, and trackpad gesture function. The LaVie N is a netbook, naturally a bit less powerful than its big brother, with a 13.3-inch screen an AMD Athlon X2 QL-62, 2GB of RAM, DVD Multi, plus a 5×15 LED display on the front of the computer that can display messages as well as the time. Finally the LaVie L has a 15.5-inch screen Core 2 Duo P8600 at 2.4GHz, 3 or 4GB of RAM, a GMA 4500MHD graphics card, 320GB of HDD, Blu-ray drive or DVD drive. NEC has launched the PowerMate P4000 and P6000 all-in-one computers. The 16-inch P4000 has a 1.9GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G integrated graphics chip, 1GBof RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. The 19-inch P6000 has a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9300 graphics card, 2GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. Both are expected to hit the Asian market next week at $1,270 and $1,675US respectively. [via Engadget]
