This ultra-thin, sleek and minimalist keyboard has a sweet little gimmick: it glows. The Logitech Illuminated Keyboard features keys that provide an adjustable level of light for easy typing in a dark environment. Just 9.3 mm thin, the Illuminated Keyboard will add a low profile control system to your desk, rivaling the keyboard designs common on late model macs. Whether you’re typing at night, in a lighting controlled environment or Mom’s basement, this keyboard will light your way.

We’re no stranger of the Squeezebox at GearCrave. We’ve covered it in its every inception, from the original version, the Slim Devices Squeezebox to the Logitech Squeezebox Duet. While legal internet radio is facing a very ugly, very risky doomsday at the hands of the RIAA, Logitech stands confident in web-distributed digital audio with the Logitech Squeezebox Boom. Like the earlier versions of the wireless Squeezebox music player, the Boom delivers your mp3 collection and web radio to your home environment. The Boom, however, bypasses your home stereo and acts as a wi-fi boombox, bringing your wireless audio right to your ears. Once this baby is 3G compatible, we can see folks walking down the street rocking Grandmaster Flash with the Squeezebox Boom on their shoulder…

Our friends at Logitech have certainly grown a nice collection of brands, especially the headphone manufacturer Ultimate Ears. Their new Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Earbuds take closed-ear studio monitor technology and replicate them on a small scale for inner-ear systems. As with mose earbuds, the Super.Fi 5′s provide excellent noise isolation, making sure you hear what you want– not your cubicle neighbor tapping his pencil… Rock ‘em with an iPod, mp3 player, laptop or otherwise, you’ll hear your tunes as they were meant to be heard. The design of the backpack has changed quite a bit since you were in high school. Necessity drove these developments, as the backpacks of old aren’t build to protect your sensitive electronic gear. The Logitech Kinetik Backpack is designed to house and protect your laptop, digital camera, DS and iPhone. Its hard, lightweight exo-shell casing keeps your gear protected from shocks, bumps, drops and more. The internal design of the Kinetik backpack has expanding pockets and pouches that will hold your assets in place. All that aside, this baby looks sweet!

Three dimensional environments have become common in computing technology. Video games, architectural/industrial design software and even new social environments like Second Life are nearly all explored in 3D. While the environments have evolved, the control technologies have not. Planar control systems, like the mouse in your hand, cannot pitch, yaw, climb and descend in three dimensional space. As a result, the people at Logitech’s 3Dconnexion set out to update the hand control of a mouse with full maneuverability through space. Lift your palm, the cursor follows. Push it forward, the cursor moves. Twist your palm, the cursor rotates… This physical control by 3Dconnexion is set to revolutionize the way immersive 3D environments are explored. Continue reading for our full review of the 3Dconnexion products which we’ve tested, and check back later today– we’re giving away three 3D Connexion systems to GearCrave readers.
