The first Beats by Dr. Dre headphones hit back in March to plenty of fanfare around the web. Building on that success, Monster has announced Beats by Dr. Dre Tour In-Ear Headphones. The Dre Tour earbuds feature 24k gold contacts for clear connectivity, a low-mass, wide bandwidth driver for a healthy bass response, a tangle-free cable and that little b dre logo. Naturally, as earbuds they provide plenty of isolation to keep your ears on the tunes, not the worldly distractions around you. [apple]

With today’s gaming industry pushing the envelope on graphics, story depth and realism, your sound probably falls quite short. Nothing detracts from the game like lifeless, tinny sound emanating from inadequate computer speakers. Don’t let poor sound drag down the experience anymore. QPAD has teamed with German headphone masters Beyerdynamic to produce a professional set of gaming headphones that will quickly bring your sound up to par—if not beyond. The headphones are actually based on tech used for aviation headsets—allowing you to block out the outside world (i.e. nagging girlfriends) and immerse yourself into the game. QPAD promises an impressive 5Hz-30KHz dynamic range (well outside the range of human hearing) meaning that you’ll incur a faux-seizure from explosions and hear a pin fall to the ground in the backdrop. USB and headphone jack allow for versatile use in both gaming and music listening. [QPAD]

Sennheiser has announced a new pair of high dollar headphones that appear to be designed for people who are interested in losing them. The wireless, band-less earbuds don’t have any special way of staying in your ears, and don’t have any cables to keep them with your iPod or other device while they’re not in use. Its a good thing they cost $630 so you can easily replace them…
Besides the whole being easily lost and really expensive thing, the headphones are actually pretty sweet. Each bud has a 2.4GHz built-in wireless receiver and claims to be able to last a whopping ten hours on a single charge. Currently the phones are available only in Japan, no word on when or if we’ll see them here in the US. [via BoingBoing]

When we say “cut the cord”, we’re not talking about scissors or actually cutting something. The iMuffs are a pair of pretty wireless headphones that allow you to listen to your favorite music from your iPod (including the 3rd generation iPods) or smartphone by pairing them via Bluetooth. With ergonomically placed controls that allows you to skip, play or pause, the iMuffs offer near-CD quality sound for a distance of up to 10m. The iMuffs charge via USB and have a pretty decent battery that will keep on waving for about 16 hours. Kinda pricey at $129.99 (includes the iMuffs adapter for iPod), but comfort and style are expensive these days. Too bad they can’t warm up your ears while listening to Chinese Democracy… [via OhGizmo]

Are you one of those people who like to share their music with friends, but often forgets to tote along an extra paid of headphones? BudBuds are a traditional pair of earbuds, with an additional pair snapped on the back for sharing. The idea is you can listen to your music alone, but if you feel the urge to share your tunes you can pop off an extra pair of buds and turn one pair of headphones into two. [Sync1 via Gizmodo]

At CES last January, Audio Technica revealed a pair of in-ear headphones with battery-powered, active noise-canceling technology. After hitting stores in August, the Audio Technica ATH-ANC3′s have become quite popular amongst those who, well, don’t want to hear a single sound other than their music. The ATH-ANC3′s feature “Quietpoint” technology that reduces external noise by 85%. While most in-ear headphones do a good job of killing outside noise by nature, these babies do double duty. Our friends at Audio Technica reached out to us a while back, and were patient with us while we launched the other sites in the uCrave.com network. Without further adieu, GearCrave is giving away five free pairs of Audio Technica ATH-ANC3′s. Want to win? Find out how below…
