Today is a little busier than normal in Hollywood. Where GearCrave typically covers one, maybe two noteworthy releases, this week there are four films worth checking out. Sure, these may not be of No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood quality, but each is definitely worth watching. First, Paul Giamatti personifies a great American President, John Adams. In Bucket List, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman answer this question: “what would you do if you were given just one year to live?” Natalie Portman + Scarlett Johansson = heaven. Does it matter what the film is about? In this case, you’ll be please with a good film: The Other Boleyn Girl. Last, another GearCrave love, miss Rachel Bilson stars along with Hayden Christiansen in the sci-fi film Jumper. See you next week, GearCravers. Enjoy these films!

“All I can do is be me, whoever that is.” Fans of Bob Dylan will instantly respect the collage style biopic “I’m Not There“, directed by Todd Haynes. The part of Dylan, or at least reverent caricatures of him, are played by a stunning collection of A-List actors. Christian Bale, Heath Ledger and even Cate Blanchett give life to the Dylan legend in this film. What saw a quiet release outside of the dedicated fan circles, “I’m Not There” was a critically acclaimed sleeper that is likely to become a DVD hit. If this film was on your list, get it today– its out now on Amazon.

Its Tuesday, GearCravers. And unlike the last two weeks, where there was one solid hit film and… little other to mention, today features the Oscar blockbuster “Juno”, as well as two other must-see films. We likely don’t have to explain why Juno kicks ass. If you saw it, you’re likely going to add it to your DVD collection. If you missed it, you were likely waiting until today to watch it. So now’s your chance… But aside from Juno, you must, must watch the trailers to “Lars and the Real Girl” (hilarious, dollerific!) and “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead”. Marisa Tomie… grrrowl.
Juno: $15.99 [trailer]
Lars and the Real Girl: $14.99 [trailer]

“As long as there’s oil, there will be blood.” Upton Sinclair, author of the book adapted into this film, couldn’t have said it better. Where America’s need for oil brings blood overseas, it all started with early prospectors and entrepreneurs. Paul Thomas Anderson’s “There Will Be Blood” tells the story of Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day Lewis), a ruthless oil tycoon who wishes to dominate the southwestern US with his lust for black gold. The result is certainly Anderson’s greatest work to date, an exciting film about greed and vanity absolute in America. If you’ve been waiting for the DVD, now’s your lucky chance. “There Will Be Blood” hits Amazon today. [trailer]

If you saw this film in the theater or waited for its release on DVD, today’s your day to experience it at home.
