digit mp3 1 The Digit MP3 Player Concept

When it comes to concepts, we prefer those that have a base in production reality.  We want to celebrate something that’ll end up on the market and possibly in our hands one day.  This one may never make it, but oooooh is it shiny!  The Digit MP3 Player Concept is a sleek, stylish little media handheld with wireless Bluetooth earbuds.  If it hits production, it’ll shine in three background colors– white, red and green… perfect for the holidays.  In 2010. nokia home music Nokia Home Music Makes It Easy to Stream

When the iPod starts getting stale and musical curiosity can’t be satisfied by FM, HD or satellite radio, sometimes its best to venture on to the Internet. The Nokia Home Music makes this easier by streaming online content or music from local computers via WiFi or Ethernet cable. This is a companion device to Nokia’s new N97 touchscreen phone, so presumably, you could use the 3G Internet capabilities of the phone to power the Home Music on the go. Failing that, the music player also includes USB and auxiliary jacks, plus a reliable old FM radio when there’s simply nothing else around. We’re still waiting for pricing and ship dates. idocopy Profess Your Love With Soundwave Wedding Bands

Diamonds may be forever, but sound waves are just so much cooler. Japanese artist Sakura Koshimizu crafts the “I Do” Wedding Band by recording that very utterance and laser cutting the resulting waveform in gold, silver or steel. These can be custom produced for any couple, so you know the voices are your own.

Don’t despair if love hasn’t found you lately. Koshimizu has also created cuffs, necklaces, earrings and brooches using a variety of completely non-romantic sounds, such as yawns, “wows” and giggles. There’s no word on pricing or availability. Try sending her an e-mail. [Sakura Koshimizu via BoingBoing Gadgets and Random Good Stuff]

When you’re on your deck or balcony entertaining friends, your iPod won’t cut it.  Even a mobile system, like a classic boombox, doesn’t do your colossal music collection justice.  While there are solutions that wirelessly connect to your music playlists, this is one of the better stereo versions we’ve found.  JBL Home Audio has announced the Control 2.4G, a stereo wireless speaker system that transmits your tunes anywhere within your wireless network.  The system includes a 2.4gHz transmitter, two 2-way 15W speakers and a remote to control your tunes.  Not a bad little piece of news from JBL… [jbl]
