It has a Web site, and Notebook Italia says that the Canova dual screen laptop is coming soon. Estari, an American company that supposedly also created a $4,000 dual screen notebook, is reportedly producing the new model, conceptualized by V12 Design. The base screen replaces the keyboard, and a hinge allows the second screen to swivel freely, which looks pretty cool but yields few other practical applications beyond the traditional clamshell design. Why is this so sketchy? Because the link Notebook Italia offers for Estari’s last model is dead, and there’s no mention of any laptop-making track record on the current site. Plus, Notebook Italia repeatedly misspells the name of the manufacturer as “Estar,” despite being the recipient of exclusive information from V12. Neat idea, though. [Notebook Italia via Engadget]
