LinkCrave: MIT’s 6th Sense Display Device
By Mike Payne
In a system that could quite possibly revolutionize the way we interact with virtual environments, a group at MIT has developed the 6th Sense display system. In a throwback to the computer interface from the film Minority Report, the 6th Sense display device uses a projector and a camera to project a display and record a users interaction with it. The end result is a level of manual control never before available on conventional systems… Will it stand up to the old trusty keyboard and mouse? Likely not, but we still enjoy the news… [cnet]
