Laser Wall light could replace traditional traffic lights
By Emily
Who needs a traffic light when you can have a laser wall? This concept would replace your traditional traffic light with a laser wall. the wall would use “plasma laser beams” to protect people walking though oncoming traffic (although not literally protecting them- more visually). The idea behind the device is that drivers would be more likely to stop for giant digital humans than you would be to stop for a traditional light. We think the idea is actually pretty solid. It can be easy to get distracted while you’re driving, and a huge red crosswalk would definitely get your attention as you approached it. What do you think? Would the virtual wall light work, or just give you a moving target? [via Wired]
