Digital transition may be posponed

It looks like the digital transition we’ve been talking about forever will more than likely be pushed back until June. The transition was expected to take place on February 17th, but the Senate voted yesterday to push the date back until June 12th in order to give consumers more time to purchase converter boxes.

The postponement is due to a lack of funds for the converter box program, making it difficult for some to get what they needed to make the switch successfully. The later date would n theory give people time to make those preparations.  Do you think a postponement is needed, or should we go on with the trasition February 17th as planned?[via Wired]
