Novint Falcon Controller Striving for Consoles

If you’re setting eyes on the Novint Falcon for the first time, “WTF” is likely among your initial thoughts. But if the tech demo and testimonials are any indication, the 3D joystick indeed conveys a powerful sense of touch for PC gamers. Publishers are enthused too, as evidenced by the growing list of supported titles, including Left 4 Dead and Doom 3. All of this leads Novint CEO Tom Anderson to believe a console Falcon will become reality by the year’s end. He told Joystiq that console manufacturers were hesitant at first, but things are looking up now that game makers are lining up behind the product.
