New Vuzix VR Glasses Don’t Look So Nerdy
Jan 02, 2009 - By Jared Newman
Despite coming a long way from those massive helmets you found in 90s arcades, Virtual Realiity has lacked style until now. Vuzix’s latest pair of VR glasses, to be unveiled at CES, looks like something you’d see on a big league outfielder. The Wrap 920AV also has a wider frame than the previous model, which sort of resembled a futuristic harmonica. This makes for even greater immersion when you’re playing a PC game, watching a movie or connecting to any portable media player. We’re hoping that this version, like the last, includes a built-in microphone for virtual reality taunting. [Wired]
