LG Announces LCD for Both Outdoor and Indoor Use

LG plans on revolutionizing adaptive backlight displays. They’ve been working on a new LCD technology that involves transmissive and reflective illumination. Dubbed Backlight Data Signal Switching, the screen will offer optimum visibility no matter if you’re inside or outside in natural light, should consume 75-percent less energy than traditional displays and promises to prolong notebook life.
