Guy builds his own RFID poker table

By

One enterprising fellow has taken his love of televised poker to a new level. Andrew Milner took your average poker table and retrofitted it with wireless RFID chips in the table and tags on cards– as well as HD cameras that allow him to track the game through feeds just like they do on television. Each card in the game is tracked to its exact location on the table. While not as sleek as what you actually see on TV, the idea is pretty awesome. Milner says making the table cost him around $7,000 overall and took about three months to make.  Might this change the way Poker is played in championships and at your local pick-up game?  We’re willing to bet the house on it… [via Wired]
