Sony drops the HVR-HD1000 in Japan

Sony has released their popular pro camcorder, the HVR-HD1000 in Japan for videographers, documentary filmmakers and upscale consumers. The shoulder-mounting camera uses Sony’s ClearVid CMOS sensor and Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lenses to shoot pro quality video. The camera is packed with features including optical image stabilization, HDV 1080i and DV SP/LP recording and playback, smooth slow recording, and a new stereo shotgun-type external microphone.
