Microsoft Apps for the iPhone? This will end badly.
By Mike Payne
It begins. Microsoft has officially released its first-ever iPhone app, titled Seadragon. What is Seadragon? Its a photo nav app that changes the way a user can view and navigate through photos. Not out for more than 24 hours, and it is already broken. From the iTunes description:
The ‘Browse Photosynth’ functionality broke right after we submitted the app to the AppStore. Hopefully we’ll get a new version with this fixed submitted to Apple in the next few days. Photosynth search and adding a user to view their Synths still works. Sorry!
Look, we love Apple here at GearCrave, but we’re certainly not Apple Fanboys. We also love us some PC action. We don’t, however, love anything Microsoft has done for mobile. We have high hopes for Windows 7, but in the mean time– we want Microsoft to stay far, far away from the iPhone. Readers, let us know if you feel otherwise and think this might just be a step in the right direction. We’re here to be proven wrong! [seadragon via techflash]
