The iPhone’s GPS is handy enough, but speed demons might want to invest in the Njection Mobile app, which helps drivers avoid speed traps, red light cameras and other detection methods. A voice lets you know when traps are coming up, or you can plan ahead by searching for popular police hangout points around the world. Additional data can be added to each trap, such as regular patrol times, and you can even submit new traps yourself to alert fellow users. The program uses Microsoft’s Virtual Earth for mapping and boasts an Advanced Intelligence Selection System to determine which nearby cops you should most look out for based on speed, direction and time.
