Acer Will Release New Laptops in November

Two more months left in 2008, and some say they’re the best months for tech companies because consumers are in the buying spirit. They will buy this year, too, even though we’re probably going through the worst financial crisis in recent history. But back to our stuff, I’d like to have your attention because Acer is planning on releasing some new laptop models that will hit the streets in November.
First is the Acer AS8930, shown above, a large notebook that packs an 18.4-Inch LCD with Full HD. The AS8930 runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2.53GHz), 480GB of storage, an NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT and up to 4GB of RAM. Other goodies include a Blu-ray disc drive, Bluetooth 2.0, an HDMI/eSATA port, and a 1Mpix web camera. Prices start at ~$2130.
More details after the jump!

Acer is also releasing the Acer AS6930, a touch smaller than its big brother. The AS6930 sports a 16-Inch display, an Intel Core 2 Duo chip (2.26GHz), 320GB of storage, a GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, up to 2GB of RAM and the same accessibility options as the AS8930. Prices for that baby start at $1400.
Acer has two more lower-scale modesl in the release, the Acer 6530 and Acer 5535. These are 16″ and 15.6″ respectively, with both running on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU (1.9GHz). While Acer may not have the same cult pull as a producer like Apple, PC fans are likely salivating. Acer is pretty damn serious when it comes to rock solid PC notebooks… [via AkihabaraNews]
