Duncan Schotton Digimech Clock

The ‘Digimech Clock’ is a new design by UK designer Duncan Schotton that combines the concept of a mechanical clock and a digital display. The clock uses vertical sliders operated by electric motors and counter-weights. In motion, these sliders are a beautiful game displaying the passage of time. The numeral bars in the clock drop down due to gravity as the digits are displayed. The result is an amazing clock with a digital display– but a behind-the-scenes focus for the amateur horologist in you.
