'party' if i may be so bold to say, i think it's a great system for 'party' style games, mario party, mario kart, just for starters. i enjoy my games, from visual sexiness to pure happy fun time, hence why i own a wii and ps3, i would of bought a xbox360, but the first killer for me was the lack of backwards compatibility for xbox games. getting back to the point, my feelings is that nintendo hasn't been intending to compete on the visual level for a reason, you let the two 'big dogs' fight it out over the prize (console world domination), and wait, when they are beaten up and tired, BAM! ZOOM!
