Jacob: Nerdyshirts is your one stop shop for the most awesome shirts in the world.

How and when did the concept for NerdyShirts come together?

Jacob: About four years ago Myke and myself (Jacob) were at a friend’s birthday pool party. We saw a guy jump in the pool wearing a shirt he must have gotten as a give away at CES or something like that – it was an advertisement for USB cables. In any event, we really wished we had a shirt about USB cables too, only we wanted one that we would actually wear in public… and the rest is history.

You’ve become quite the staple of nerdywear on the web, like the “ThinkGeek of fashion”. Everyone from video gamers, IT execs, net celebs and the rest of web culture love your brand. What do you attribute the success of Nerdy wear to most?

Jacob: I don’t think we can really take credit for the success of “nerdywear” in general. It seems like “nerdywear” is becoming more relevant as more people accept their own nerd-like qualities. We try to offer the best “nerdwear” possible, and people seem to be enjoying what we give them.

What is your favorite NerdyShirts tee?

Jacob: It’s hard to choose just one, but I’d have to say “The Nintendo Family Tree“. So many memories associated with that one.

What other t-shirt designers do you admire?

Jacob: Our friend Olly Moss is responsible for some of our best designs (including the above mentioned “Nintendo Family Tree” shirt. He’s made some great stuff over the years.

Jacob: Right now… my new phone (Motorola Q9C), but that’s mostly because I finally have GPS.

What was your favorite movie of 2007?

Jacob: My favorite movie of 2007 is also my favorite movie from 1981 – it’s called “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and it stars Harrison Ford.

Apart from NerdyShirts where is your favorite place to buy clothes?

Jacob: American Apparel… but then again I also get a wholesale discount there…

Mac, PC, or Linux?

Jacob: Can I have all three?

Sports car or Hybrid?

Jacob: Can I have both?… just kidding, sports car.

Video games or the Great outdoors?

Jacob: are we talking about the 1988 film starring John Candy and Dan Aykroyd?… If so, yes, The Great Outdoors.

Novels or Biographies?

Jacob: Depends who the author is.

Myspace or Facebook?

Jacob: I plead the fifth.

MacGyver or Chuck Norris?

Jacob: MacGyver.

Ninja’s or Pirates?

Jacob: Ninjas… duh.
