DVD Tuesday: I Am Legend, Atonement, Revolver
By Mike Payne
Its DVD Tuesday, GearCravers. Each week, GearCrave covers the biggest releases in DVDs, both film and TV. This week, the three top releases are for Will Smith’s “I Am Legend”, Guy Ritchie’s “Revolver” and Keira Knightley’s “Atonement”. More on those below, but for now- make sure you haven’t missed our top picks from the last few weeks. So far in March we’ve seen No Country for Old Men, Into the Wild and many more Oscar-caliber films. Continue reading for why you won’t want to miss the three films above.
I Am Legend
Mankind cures cancer. Cancer cure mutates. Cancer cure kills. What it doesn’t kill, it turns into vampiric zombies. One man survives both the virus and the zombies– did you expect anyone other than Will Smith? Okay, Dolph Lundgren or Arnold could have done it too. Throw Chuck Norris in there, he’d have the zombies plowing his fields, hunting his game, putting on Shakespearian plays and fellating his dog (note to GearCrave editors, am I allowed to say that?). While “I Am Legend” may not “Blow Your Mind”, it is fun, exciting, and a must own for all Zombie film lovers. Here’s the trailer.

Atonement
Here’s the ten thousand dollar question– is Keira Knightley hot enough to get us to watch a British period piece about “love” and “betrayal”?

Revolver
And now for something much more the GearCrave speed: Guy Ritchie’s “Revolver”. Fans of “Snatch” and “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” will feel right at home on the edge of their seats watching this one. With Jason Statham back in the main role and a new set of good guys and bad guys around him, we’re excited to have Guy Ritchie back in his roots. With the recent news of Madonna’s departure out of his life and his creative processes, can we expect even more from Mr. Ritchie? Let’s hope so. Check out the trailer.
