HP Compaq 2133

The rumor mill has been churning non-stop over the HP Compaq 2133, and the specs do sound pretty sweet. Lusting for Vista or Linux? It’s your choice. That monitor is a scratch-resistant 8.9-incher, and this machine sports an ExpressCard/54 slot, wireless LAN, QWERTY keyboard that’s only five percent smaller than normal. You also get an integrated webcam, and we hear talk of an optional SSD in a 2.5-pound case. Now we have to burst your bubble here as this is NOT on the market yet–hold your breath until April. For now, we’re simply passing along the dirt on this UMPC. Smaller is better when you need to pack light and lean, and if this puppy lives up to the hype, the Compaq 2133 will be trading punches with the MacBook Air. The last we heard on this it could be priced well under $700. [Engadget]
