Those who say “rock is dead” have not yet heard The Redwalls. What started in Chicago in 2001 as a blues rock band with BritPop influences has culminated with The Redwalls third album, their self-titled LP. Seven years later and The Redwalls are beginning to receive the critical acclaim and media play they deserve. On the 23rd of January, The Redwalls brought their latest single, Modern Diet, to the Late Show with David Letterman. “They Say Its All Been Done Before,” the Redwalls argue on Modern Diet. While vintage re-issue British Invasion rock has been done before, the Redwalls are wildly fresh, energizing, and downright fun. We’re buying what they’re selling. We’re starting with this album.
