Logitech Harmony One

The Logitech Harmony One is yet another CES 2008 gadget with a touch screen. This one is a remote control replacement, letting you ditch up to 15 other remotes in favor of this one. The touchscreen lets you select a variety of functions; “watch a DVD” , “Listen to music” and “Watch TV” are all in there and give you access to the deeper control features you’ll need. We have all sorts of extreme sports, finally someone has created a gizmo that can be safely branded Extreme Couch Potato. One day in the near future, Logitech will devise something that works exactly like this, but with no buttons at all–it will read your brainwaves instead. Til then, this lovely $250 uber-remote control will do nicely, thanks.
